Adria Rail d.o.o. was founded in 2015 out of the need to start the shuttle containers block trains on the Rijeka-Belgrade route.
The first train was launched in May 2015 from the ŽIT container terminal in Serbian Belgrade to the Adriatic Sea container terminal KT Brajdica in Croatian Rijeka.
Since 2024, Adria Rail d.o.o. has been a proud member (100 %) of the METRANS Group, integrating the Inđija terminal into its extensive network. This partnership enables regular train connections to the METRANS HUB terminal in Budapest, expanding its reach across Europe. Through the METRANS network, Adria Rail is on a mission to create a rail connection that facilitates regular service to major seaports across southern and northern Europe.
The main activity of Adria Rail d.o.o. is the intermodal transport of containers by rail from Rijeka Brajdica sea terminal (AGCT), where we cover over 70% of all containers transported by rail. We are providing wagons, custom services, and organization of train services, while rail haulage is done by many partners on Adria Rail wagons.
Our transportation options vary from transporting a single container to a full train only free on the rail (FOR) or delivered to the final place (DAP) anywhere in Serbia on a container truck or with a tautliner truck.
As a company that is trusted by our customers and is recognized as a specialist in intermodal transport, we strive to become the model for exceptional customer service in the global logistics industry.
