METRANS Adria d.o.o. Rijeka (formerly Adria Rail d.o.o.) was founded in 2015 out of the need to start the shuttle containers block trains on the Rijeka–Belgrade route.

The first train was launched in May 2015 from the ŽIT container terminal in Serbian Belgrade to the Adriatic Sea container terminal KT Brajdica in Croatian Rijeka.

Since 2024, METRANS Adria d.o.o. Rijeka has been a proud member (100 %) of the METRANS Group, integrating the Inđija terminal into its extensive network. This partnership enables regular train connections to the METRANS HUB terminal in Budapest, expanding its reach across Europe. Through the METRANS network, METRANS Adria is on a mission to create a rail connection that facilitates regular service to major seaports across southern and northern Europe.

The main activity of METRANS Adria d.o.o. Rijeka is the intermodal transport of containers by rail from Rijeka Brajdica sea terminal (AGCT), where we cover over 70% of all containers transported by rail. We are providing wagons, custom services, and organization of train services, while rail haulage is done by many partners on METRANS Adria wagons.

Our transportation options vary from transporting a single container to a full train only free on the rail (FOR) or delivered to the final place (DAP) anywhere in Serbia on a container truck or with a tautliner truck.

As a company that is trusted by our customers and is recognized as a specialist in intermodal transport, we strive to become the model for exceptional customer service in the global logistics industry.

In 2025, the company officially changed its name from Adria Rail d.o.o. to METRANS Adria d.o.o. Rijeka, reflecting its full integration into the METRANS Group.

METRANS Panonija d.o.o. is a key part of the METRANS Group, strategically positioned to connect Southeast Europe with major European logistics corridors. Based in Indjija, Serbia—just outside Belgrade—we operate a modern intermodal terminal that forms an essential link between the Adriatic ports and Central and Northern Europe.

Our journey began in 2023 with the acquisition of a 51% stake in Adria Rail, followed by a full acquisition in early 2024. Shortly after, we rebranded as METRANS Panonija to fully align with the METRANS Group’s identity and network. Since then, we have rapidly expanded operations and infrastructure, including new rail services and the addition of 15,000 sqm of terminal space in January 2025.

Indjija is now the 20th terminal in the METRANS network, directly connected to our hub in Budapest. From there, we offer gateway access to the ports of the Northern Range, the Adriatic coast, and deep into the hinterland

Looking ahead, METRANS Panonija continues to invest in capacity and service enhancements to strengthen our position as the leading intermodal logistics partner in the region.
